Hi peter.

Press alt t to go in to tools, then go to internet options. tab to tab browsing settings and click that. then, tab to the enable quick tabs control Q option and tick it. tab to ok and then ok again, and completely exit and restart internet explorer. Then control Q should work and you should be able to arrow left and right if multiple tabs are open. As for your volume with internet explorer running, press windows B to go to your system tray, and go to speakers. tab to the mixer option and click it. turn all the volumes in that dialogue up to 100% and then exit. The RSS sound is by default a very quiet sound, stupid really!

all the best,

Mo.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Have tried control+q but it does not bring up a list. I know I have two tabs open because I pressed control+1 and then control+2 and identified two open tabs yet no list was shown with control+Q.

Re the sound. I do have sounds enabled in the options. How do I check that the internet volume is turned up to full. Could you list the steps please.

Peter

Hi.

Try control Q instead of control shift Q. as for RSS sounds, try going to tools, internet options, content tab, in to feed settings and ensure the sounds are enabled and that internet explorer volume is turned up to full in volume controls.

all the best,

Mo.

In IE 8 there was a key command Control+shift+Q which would bring up a list of open tabs. That does not seem to be present in IE 9. Is there an equivalent key stroke or am I mistaken.

Also I understand that with IE 9 a warning sound should be emitted when a web page is opened which has an RSS feed on it. Although I have sounds turned on in the options menu I do not get this notification. Can anybody tell me what I should do please?
