Colin,
I've had this issue before. I think, from memory. If you try plugging in
and out your headphones a couple of times it should switch over. There is a
bit of a quirk with the switching electronics and sometimes you can be left
with no audio as the phone thinks its still switched to headphones. I bet
you'll get audio ok through them.if you plug some in.

Hi All,
Assistance appreciated please
I phone 4S running latest operating system.
All of a sudden there is no speech output apart from on headphones.
Even when I play music there is nothing.
However when I call the phone there is volume which suggests speaker is not
broken
My wife says there is an ikon showing headphones on the screen even when
they are not plugged in
It also connects and has volume on blue tooth devices
Is there a setting that switches from headphones to not headphones please
that I am unaware of?
