[access-uk] How many computers can I sync an iPad with?

Hi all,
I've synced my iPad with my desktop through iTunes no problems there. Now I've
just installed iTunes on my laptop. If I use my laptop to install some apps and
transfer more music files to my iPad, would I lose all the music and other
files that already on my iPad? Note that on my laptop I didn't import any music
to iTunes.
