So you've just started using gmail with OE then? First thing would be to
check if you configured OE correctly. Can you generally send and receive
messages with gmail and OE ok? See this help page from google on how to check
that OE is configured correctly:

Using Outlook Express, send a message from my Gmail account instead of my
default account Neuf.fr? I go into the tools menu, choose the send menu and
select the Gmail account to send all but the message I want to send stays in my
outbox. What am I doing wrong?
Because I subscribed to the viphone list using my Gmail address they don't
accept my messages coming from the Neuf one.
I thought it would be simple to send from the gmail account, evidently not,
or, at least, I haven't sussed it out.
Help please...
