I've always found that, when this problem occurs (as it does from time to time), first you need to ensure the message list window is maximized. Once this is done and you're sure it is maximized, you need to maximize the first message.

Once you close OE and go back in, it should (hopefully) remain properly maximized.

I don't know why it happens from time to time but that usually works for me and I don't have to sort it very often.

Alexander, my Outlook Express is set to show a normal window for both the
message lists and the message windows. So can't duplicate this here, sorry.
Even if I could, I wouldn't know how to resolve it.

Hi all,
Express 6 on an Acer Laptop, with Supernova 8.01.

In Outlook Express the list of messages in each folder is maximised, but
when I open a message to read it, it opens a minimised window.

I thought the answer to my problem was in Windows Folder options, but I can
not find it there.

Please can someone remind me where to look to solve this issue.

Thank you in advance.
