[access-uk] How can I get rid of extra shortcuts on my desktop please.

Hi all,
I can not work out why, but the "My Computer" and "My Documents" shortcuts
have appeared twice on my desktop.
If I delete the extra shortcuts directly from the desk top, that looks as if
that method will delete the programs rather than the shortcuts.
I have tried using Easycleaner but that does not seem to work.
Please can someone advise me how I can get rid of these duplicated shortcuts
on my desktop.
