Hope everybody is safe and well.
to know my neighbours during lock down.
One of them Alfred, is over eighty all his marbles but hard of hearing and
with no central vision to speak of.
Would love to use a computer.
I went from sight to no sight so voice and braille were my only options.
He wants massive print, good contrast and sound as a back up.
Really he want s to do emails, the net and BBC sounds.
He also has grand children, and great grand children, in New Zealand would
love to zoom or whatever.
To see the television screen he sits very close, my girlfriend says, and has
really strong contrast.
Is there a programme like Jaws which also has magnification built in?
Teaching him two separate systems is a bit daunting.
Simplicity is the answer, not so much for him only but I would be his first
port of call, and I am pretty useless.
