Hello Catherine, I always print my envelopes from word.Using font size 12 or 14, I go to aligned left, then press enter and come down about 8 lines. I then type in my address.
I then take the paper out of the printer, and insert the envelope. Then do control P and away we go!...I find with my Epson I sometimes have to guide the envelope to keep it straight.
I hope this helps!... Kind regards, Shirley.----- Original Message ----- From: "Catherine Turner" <catherineturner2007@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi, I want to print some envelopes from Microsoft Word. I'm using Word 2003 and an HP Deskjet 460. I can't get anything to print on the envelopes. I've tried two things. First I wrote what I wanted on the envelope, went into page setup, chose centred under vertical alignment, and chose one of the preset envelope sizes and changed its width and height to what I think mine is. When I measure the envelopes they are 16cm wide and 11cm high (roughly - I can't measure for the millimetres). When I say "wide" I mean the horizontal line if you had the stamp on the top right corner. Nothing seems to get printed - the printer makes noises and spits out the envelope but when I scan it there's nothing there. The other way I tried was from the envelopes and labels dialog; there I chose a c6 envelope which says it's 114 x 162mm. I pressed the print button and this time nothing happened and the printer said it was out of paper. I tried realigning the envelope but still nothing happened. This printer doesn't have a dedicated envelope tray and in the user guide it says about printing envelopes you should load it, then select the appropriate size from Microsoft Word. Can anyone help/suggest anything?
