The files you mention are only really understandable by someone extremely technical. First would be to do a thorough, in depth scan of the system to ensure there are no nasties like trojans and viruses hanging around. I'd suggest you then do some serious disk cleaning, beginning with Disk Cleanup, to remove temporary files and such like. Follow that with a defrag. Then do further checks to see what files are remaining which have a .tmp extension. In 99 cases out of 100, these can also be deleted. Have you any software that is essentially redundant and can be removed? Same with any Startup programs which are not necessary. Once you've done all that, repeat the defrag.
