Hi Adrian, 3 weeks is sometime back, granted. But you can always undo the last restore poitn if it doesn't work. As George has already said it shouldn't effect data, i.e. stuff in the downloads folder, my documents etc. It's probably the most simplest thing I'd tired first if looking at the machine.
