Hi Mo and Mike,
Thanks for the replies.  There are no timers set, I did have a recurring timer, 
the one that I'm now having the problems with, which I removed when it started 
missing episodes.  At present there are 5 movies on the drive, everything else 
has been removed.
Mo, as I had to install the speech from a pen drive, will the reset remove 
this, so that I have to do it all over again?
