I have a 3com backup drive which has been working fine for 3 years - not the
only backup!
I also have a QNAP NAS drive with 4 by 4 1Tb Seagate drives which has been
running for 15 months, still with no bad sectors on any of the drives.

A little while back there was a discussion about hard drives on networks and
it was suggested that some makes of drive hadn't been too good.
If anyone has found failing drives purchased recently or makes they just
haven't liked, could you please let me know as I must try to shop for one
within the next week
