Hi Carol,

Before I proceed further, this reset I am about to give you will lose
absolutely everything. However, if it is not working, it may be your only
option.

Make sure teh phone is off. If necessary take the battery out and put it
back in.

Now hold down the three, the star and then press the end call key, while
these are held down. Hold all three down until the phone plays its music.

As I say, you will need sighted help to reinstall Talks or set the date and
time etc.

If that doesn't work, then the phone likely has a fault.

All the best

Steve

Subject: [access-uk] HOW TO RESET A C5

Hi all,

Sorry, I'm not currently on a phone list with Talks and don't normally have
these questions, but I do have a problem with our spare phone which is a C5.

Unfortunately, it got left around for too long without charging (I think)
and, when I found it and plugged it in, it gave me the beep to indicate
charging. However, despite all efforts, I can get no further with the phone

at all and have learned that the screen appears blank.

I'm not convinced its battery is totally deaf, though of course I could be
wrong; so, what now?

I would be grateful for a full explanation of how to perform whichever steps

you suggest.

Thanks.

Carol P
