Iain
I have a pair of Sony headphones which not only have an L on the left but also
an R on the right. Because I didn't expect to find them, it took me a while
before It twigged what the dot patterns meant.

I@ve been using various models of Sennheiser headphones for about twenty-five
years. One thing that's always impressed me is that they but a vertical line
of 3 dots on one side of the head band to represent the Braille letter L. This
means that you can correctly orientated the cans. This must be a very simple
thing to do and I wonder why more manufacturers don't do it.
