I sometimes have to post twice to groups as the first post goes missing. It is a problem with some of the larger groups I think. Also sometimes they get sent instantly but other times they can take hours to get there. ________________________________ From: Iain Lackie <ilackie@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, 7 October 2012, 22:23 Subject: [access-uk] Re: Group moving I havenât noticed that in the groups I run on Yahoogroups.  Iain From: Abdul Hai Sent: Sunday, October 07, 2012 8:21 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Group moving  There are a few technical issues with Yahoo Groups one of them is that mail sometimes wonders off and never gets there.   ________________________________ From: Barry Toner <barry@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx" <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, 7 October 2012, 15:29 Subject: [access-uk] Group moving Hi folks, We'll be moving over the next day or so. Freelists management is messing our configuration around something chronic. I've a Yahoogroup set up for access-uk which we may move to. My preferred provider would be to have a mail man mailing list though, which would make the admin cleaner, as well as the group archives. I'm looking into the viability of a mail man mailing in-between Open university study this afternoon, and polishing my NVDA with Windows 7 presentation off that I'll be delivering next Sunday at the BCAB TechABreak weekend. Whichever option I decide rest assured on a couple of things. 1. You will be automatically unsubscribed from this group and re-subscribed to the new group. 2. This group will remain open as far as it's list archives for some time to come. This will allow people to search the archives for solutions. 3. Mail man will most likely involve some cost, to register a domain and such, I will pick this up out of my own pocket and never, ever, you can keep this email for proof ask for donations. This has never been nor ever will be an issues for access-uk members. 4. Our sister group jaws-uk also on Freelists won't be moving anytime soon. I'll keep you all informed. Regards, Barry.
