Hi all. Has anyone looked at or into the new Google Latitude site? Basically, using one of the GPS enabled smart phones that we visually impaired people tend to be getting these days, you can keep track of where your pals are on a map and I think eventually get lots of location based information. I'm wanting to know if this service is accessible or if anyone knows of any work around getting this product made accessible? Creating what I call the 3D web - where information you receive is based on where you are could be amazing for blind people. As well as being able to track your visually impaired pals if you've lost them in the middle of London or Manchester. Plus the inevitable mobility solving issues that could be put in place if your sighted partner or family member can tell you just how many streets away from where you're meant to be (I'm thinking of the time I got off a train at the wrong station at near midnight and didn't know where the hell I was). Any thoughts appreciated. ...Damon Damon Rose Senior Content Producer bbc.co.uk/ouch BBC Vision Learning Tel: 020 8752 4427 (x0224427) email: damon.rose@xxxxxxxxx Have you heard the award-winning Ouch Podcast yet?
