Hi Douglas, Firstly you need an invitation to join gmail. Just ask and I will send you one :). Secondly, you will need to set up POP access from the web interface, and your client needs to be capable of using an SSL connection. I just use Sltunnel to get round this, can send you details if necessary. If any list member actually uses Gmail I would be grateful for clarification on two points. Firstly, is it difficult to set up for POP3 access with a normal client - I don´t usually find webmail interfaces particularly convenient. Secondly, I already have a Google account and password which I use for example to read Newsgroups etc.. Would this be suffficient to enable me to get a Gmail account - it talks about needing an invitation? Thanks in advance for any help, Douglas -- Douglas Harrison ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
