Hi Mo and Ibrahim
I now have the back off, battery inserted, and charging the unit. So far
though I have received no DAB reception, only FM. We live in a really poor DAB
area, so this may not work for me at all, but I'll try for a while.

Hi Jackie.
It's not that difficult to prize the back cover off, but don't be afraid to use
a little force, especially the first time you remove the cover as it will be
quite stiff. I've removed the cover of my radio a couple of times since to
loosen it a little, since I plan to carry and use a spare battery from time to
time. persist, perceiver and you won't be disappointed. If you aren't able to
prize the cover up, use a flat headed screwdriver and slip it in to the upper
most groove when the radio is on it front on a flat surface. Good luck!

I received mine this morning, and the sad and frustrating thing right away is
that we can't get the back off it to even insert the battery. I have never
seen anything so tight or awkward to remove, it just shouldn't be that
difficult. We have both tried to take the back off, but it won't budge!

thanks interesting, I don't know if I will get my money back or ask
for a replacement. but I suppose some radios will be faulty.

Hi. Insert your finger nails in to the groove on the very edge
of the bottom of the radio. the cover should lift up and off. if
you ly the radio flat on its front there are 2 grooves that
you'll feel if you feel with your nails. its the top most cover

Feel for the contacts. Then feel the ends of the battery and
match the contacts in the radio to the holes in the battery.
insert the battery against the contact holes and push firmly
in to place. that's about as much as I can describe via email
unfortunately... imagine you're inserting a battery in to a
mobile phone. its not that flimsy, you should be fine.
