Dave, if Sky uses Googlemail then, providing pop/imap access is enabled on your account, you can use Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, etc, to send and receive e-mails. Hope that helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ankers, Dave (UK)" <Dave.Ankers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Chris,

Am I right in thinking that Sky use Google mail ? if yes, is it possible to use outlook with it ?
Cheers

Dave

Dave, the "g" in Gmail is indeed Google, so we're talking about Googlemail here. Googlemail and Gmail are the same, just different wordings. Hope that helps?e

Hi,

Sorry just got round to reading this thread. G mail, does that stand
for Google mail? or something else. I used to be with BT Broadband
and used outlook to retrieve my mail. Now I am with Sky and have not
found a way of using outlook with there email system yet. I have been
using hotmail and yahoo mail most, and don't find them very good, so
would like to get back to using outlook or something better.
Any advice appreciated.

Dave

Mandy, good choice! Gmail is very easy to use, particularly when
accessing it through your e-mail client. It's also very reliable as
well, and handles the majority of junk mail as spam. Hope that helps
for now, please write to me on or off list if you want more
information as I have a Gmail account myself and I love it.
