What I was thinking was to set up gmail so I wouldn't have to bother setting up 
acounts everytime I change my isp.

  Maybe you don't need Gmail then, but you could have it as a backup e-mail 
provider in case you have future problems with your ISP's. Hope that helps.

      Peter, what do you exactly mean by this? Gmail has a very good spam 
filter. I've had very few e-mails that were legitimate that was spam, however 
it's easy to report it as not spam and thus move it to your inbox. Is this what 
you're looking for?
