Thanks for that. I found out you can get an international membership to
bookshare - they don't seem to have the titles I'm interested in though,
I'll try Safari.

You can get access to O'Reilly titles via their online Safari service -
http://safari.oreilly.com - from anywhere.
It's a subscription service, but very good value.
