yes jaws can successfully read pdf documents. I've upgraded to version 8 of acrobat reader and I haven't had a problem yet with the new version. I'm using jaws 8, but successfully read pdf in version 7. However, there was a time early on where jaws in early editions wouldn't support pdf documents but can't remember where support for pdf and jaws started.
