Hi Carol, Not strictly true. The GPS built into the N95 is partially accessible, especially in vehicles. it is just not good for pedestrian work. But Talksdoes work with it as far as it goes. No, that was my point, that you couldn't use the GPS already available onthe N95, so another part of the software/hardware that can't be used by us.-- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Nutt" <steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, December 22, 2007 2:41 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Gadget of the year?Hi Carol, Why can't you use GPS? Just get Wayfinder Access as I have, and you can usethe built-in GPS receiver if you want, though I have an external receiver, because they are better. So I have GPS on my N95 as well. Best gadget ever! Steve, I was quite impressed as I looked at the N95 yesterday but, oh, how muchvisual stuff there is that you probably never will use, including the GPS.I guess most VI's can't really justify that cost; shame, don't think I can! I know friends though who have got it as a free Vodafone upgrade. Now that would be good, but, since I'm not with Vodafone, I doubt they'll give it me <Grins> Never mind! Happy Christmas anyway! -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Nutt" <steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, December 22, 2007 12:22 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Gadget of the year?Hi, Mine is a talks-enabled N95, especially now that 8GB Micro SD cards are out and they work on the regular N95. If the N95 had Daisy and bookmarking for text files, it would leave the Stream flat I reckon. I have two, one made for the Blind and one not. the Victor Stream has to be my product for the Blind. It is just wonderful for Daisy and MP3 talking books. My other product not specifically for the blind has to be the Zen Stone. Great value for just over twenty pounds. Does anyone else have other ideas?
