Yes the same can be said for BlindSquare. Now it's just a matter of purchasing the Bluetooth headset.

Hi John,

Also worth noting that Walky Talky will even talk when the phone is locked.
So grab yourself a pair of Aftershokz headphones, put the phone in your
pocket and don't worry about displaying it in the street.

All the best

Steve

hi jackie i remember using my satnav when playing chess in dublin
with the apex it is actually strapped to you over a shoulder
whereas your phone is so easily stolen but as steve says
something like the walky talky saying the streets you pass with
google maps so you do not need to do anything with a screen. i
actually have the garmen glow receiver which works with the
iphone this is an external gps receiver and i get much better
results with this say on buses. if you clip it on to you it
picks up better. maybe we could design a hat with a pouch for a
gps receiver that would work better 1smile, smile. but of course
when say tuning pianos i actually put the nearest bus stop in
first to where i do the job then when off the bus i then get a
route to the actual house. one idea i had using the android
phone or iphone was to use my braille pen but again the infoe
from the satnav does not always come up in braille and it's
another device to mess with when walking around.

i do wonder with the new iphones just to be released whether the
gps chip set is any different in them. the sendero is brilliant
but of course the cost is high maybe if they get it to come on
the iphone over here that could be a solution.

for me though gps has made a real difference to travelling about
especially on buses where they can go round estates and how ever
good you are it is difficult to truly know where you are.
