Actually, I wouldn't agree, Steve, entirely, in that I don't think it's
always easily heard in very busy conditions..
I like mine but don't use it a lot because it annoys me that I can go out of
range of my phone in the house, so need to take both. (Having said that,
some bluetooth earpieces do this as well and go out of range in our home.)

No, it is quite loud enough to just hear it on your wrist.
Blindsquare supports it quite well on the iPhone. using the prev and next
to go to different options and the middle button, play/pause or answer to
select.

Oops. My brain said Bluetooth, my fingers typed USB.
How does it compare to using GPS with Aftershocks, or a phone's built
in speakers in a shirt pocket. Would I have to walk down the street
with the watch held to my ear in order to hear it?
NotNav/NowNav already support some media keys - play/pause and next
for instance. It would be easy to extend this to add more.
