Yeah, I get that, but it's difficult to get rid of all this spam.I remember, some years ago, emailing and/or calling to opt out of these things, but haven't a clue where I went and what I did.

I'd strongly recommend spending the time doing as much spam marking as you can ONLINE first, otherwise it won't really get to know your preferences. Guess I'll sort out the spam offline, delete whatever's left for good online and think on from there! I'll ask again if I need to set up filters. I recall that you are supposed to return any wanted mail to the Inbox, showing that it's not spam; and I've done this now both online and offline, the latter being my preference. However, online there is an option to"delete spam items forever" and, in order to keep the messages down thatare in that box, I've been deleting (hopefully forever). Now I am unsure whether what I am doing is correct and how I can best deal with this in theoffline situation, where, at present, I'm leaving the items I know to bespam in the downloaded Spam folder. When I am sure I know I haven't subscribed to emails, I've gone to somesites and followed the links to remove me from their mailings, with somesuccess at least, but I don't want to do this for all spam and want to be sure of the best methods to use. Any help with this would be much appreciated.
