Hi John
Make sure you power it down first by pressing the first button on the left
and holding it for a second. Then turn it on again in the same way and wait
for the voice to tell you "router connected". Don't press the reset button
on the back or you will have to start again, but there is no need to do this
with the update.
Kind regards,
Jackie Brown

accessible.
Hi John,
I just updated the firmware using an iPhone and it is completely
either!
First, go into the app with the speaker turned off.
When it starts searching, turn the speaker on.
Once it says Router Connected, it should tell you on the app there is
an update. Make sure to plug the speaker into the mains when
updating, as it takes a while.
I believe Jackie also did the update without any sighted help, so it
is certainly do-able.
All the best
Steve

Hi Andrew
I have this speaker, but discovered there was a firmware update
for it
before. I agree though that the app is absolutely vile, I try to
avoid it at all costs. I know Steve is trying to encourage GGMM to
get their act together with it though, but it does make using it
very
one with built-in Alexa.
Kind regards,
