Hi Henry,

High quality wireless speakers, like Sonos are expensive.  But the quality is
undoubtedly better.

You can do the same now, with the Bluesound Flex 2, which is £299.00.  This is
a portable mono speaker with an external battery that will give it about six
hours of life.  You get the Flex, then you enable the BluOS skill, give your
portable a name, like Portable or Living Room if you keep it in the same place,
then say to Alexa: "Ask BluOS to play jazz in the living room on Spotify" and
it does it.  If you want stereo, you can buy two Flexes, but that really is
expensive.

The down side to this approach is that you do need at least one Echo in your
house, in order to talk to Bluesound speakers.  The up side is that it will
work with all their speakers, past and present.  The Sonos approach will only
work on certain of their speakers, and I believe they are bringing out a new
Play: 1 where it doesn't work.  So different strokes, for different folks.

All the best

Steve

Hi Jackie
Many thanks, Wow that's a lot of money for a portable device.

Best wishes
Henry

Hi Henry

Yes it is, and supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.  I don't know when it is
being released, but I have heard it will support both Alexa and Google
Assistant, though swapping from one to the other is definitely a bit of a faff
if the One is anything to go by! It's going to cost £399 apparently, so a step
up from GGMM.

Kind regards,

Hi Henry

It's unfortunate but the app was never great.  I would love the new Sonos Move
when it is released, Santa knows about it!! (smiles.)

Hi Jackie
Same here, I went on the Amazon web site but couldn't find either the GGMME2 or
GGMME5-very interesting.
Looks like I'll have to find another accessible portable smart speaker with
Alexa.
Best wishes
Henry

Have you guys tried resetting and re-connecting the speakers to wi-fi?

All the best

Hi Andrew
Yes!
We have the same issue but not able to sort out the issue.  Hopefully Steve
Nutt will read this message and give us a fix.

Best wishes
Henry

Hi list,

Is there anyone out there using the above speakers?  Over the last week or so
all of mine are no longer able to access Alexa for some reason.  Does anyone
else have the same problem and if so have you found any solutions?

Many thanks,

Andrew
