Hi All,

Protools is by far the most widely used audio software in the audio and
music field. It is usually run on the Mac operating system, and Until a
year or two ago it was semi-usable with speech through the old Outspoken
screen-reader.

Since Outspoken stopped development and Mac speech depends now on
Voice-over, Protools has become totally unusable by blind people, and that
is now a serious barrier to working in the audio and music world. it's
really vital that the developers of Protools, Digidesign, see the need to
work with Apple to make Protools accessible through Voiceover.

A ggroup of interested people have created a petition with further
background on this, so I'm writing to ask that if you have any interest at
all in helping support this, even if you're not directly involved in the
field, you think about signing the petition. The URL is in the forwarded
message bwlow.

Many thanks for anyone who takes a look.

Best,

Peter
