debbie I am not absolutely convinced you can do this in Windows XP pro but,
if you can the following should work.
go to start menu and choose run.
in the box type
control userpasswords2
hit enter. You should come up with a box saying Users must enter a user name
and password to use this computer.
uncheck this and tab to OK and press enter.
You will then be asked for a login account and password. in XP Pro I think
you can accept the default which is administrator.
In XP home accepting the default will cause an error so enter the name you gave your computer when setting up windows.
Cheers
Graham
