Hi Marie,

Yes, it does. If you are not sure, when Firefox asks you, say no to making
it your default browser.

All the best

Steve

Thanks for concise info. I have v.9 of the shark, so, as soon as my new PC
is running nicely, I'll go and download it. Does it run alongside IE without

problem?

It says probably never on the website. The learning curve for firefox is
minimal and the way jaws handles webpages is exactly like IE.
To Go grab a copy of firefox go to:
www.mozilla.com
Read the help, it's good compared to IE.
And before you go downloading it, jaws has excellent support for it from
version 7 upwards. If you have a lower version of jaws, your out of luck.

never say never, and, where can we read about Firefox and download it?
How does it perform with the shark? is it a steep learning curve to get
to use the browser confidently?

Hi, it never will. The company states that it will cost them both time
and money to create the add-on, which is fair enough as unlike IE7
Firefox is an open-source project.

Hi, I've tried this add-on and, I have to agree with you, it's
brilliant!
I was able to retrieve my Yahoo! ID so that I can reset my password,
which
I could also do successfully, and now I can access Yahoo! all without
sighted assistance. Just my comments there on the
fantastic Webvisum add-on. Enjoy!

Hi All

I'm sure Steve won't mind me passing this on, as it is potentially
useful
for a lot of blind people, especially with those annoying capture
problems.
This ad in for firefox works really well, and enables a blind person to
successfully use captures.

Thanks.
