Hi Mandy. I tried to send you a message to you the other day concerning extracting files in WinZip, but for some reason my mails bounced back to me, so here is a copy of the message I sent. ----- Original Message ----- From: Ibrahim Gucukoglu To: mandy Sent: Thursday, February 18, 2010 1:23 AM Subject: Extracting files in WinZip Hi Mandy. OK, in WinZip 14 as in all previous versions, there are two main ways of extracting the files. If you simply click on a compressed file, it will open with WinZip and you'll be able to use the extract command to extract some or all of the files in to a folder of your choosing. If you have a zip file in the My Documents folder and you wanted to extract a file from that archive, you'd need to use this method to select the file you wanted to extract. If on the other hand you want to extract all files in a zip file, you can simply right click on the zip file and in the WinZip subfolder of the menu that appears, you can either extract the files to the current folder or extract them to a folder of the same name as the zip file. To illustrate, you have a zip file called work.zip in the my document folder. You choose Extract to my documents, the files will be placed in the same folder as the zip file. You choose extract to work, the files will be put in a new folder called work in the my documents folder. Finally, you select extract to, you will be presented with a screen where you can choose how and where to extract the files in the archive. I hope this explanation serves to enlighten you and feel free to email me again if your still experiencing problems. All the best, Ibrahim.
