Subject: Demonstration at RNIB Bristol
Hi All,
This is just a quick reminder that we are holding a demonstration at Stillhouse
Lane tomorrow, Tuesday, to express our anger at the RNIB’s decision not to
provide us with another space to replace the building in Bedminster. Please
come if you can. Tom Walker from the In Touch programme will be there, along
with other local news media.
The demo will coincide with a meeting of the Bristol Location Partnership group
which includes RNIB, vision West of England and Bristol and District Vi Voice.
We will be gathering at Stillhouse Lane from 1pm, in order to picket the
meeting as people arrive.
Please note that Boot Lane is closed to traffic, so taxies will have to
approach from the other end of Stillhouse Lane, but the pavement on the left
hand side of Boot lane is open to pedestrians. That’s the other side from
Yellow Cabs.
We also have an online petition. Please sign it if you can. It is here:
https://www.change.org/p/elliot-lyne-rnib-must-keep-its-promise-to-the-people-of-bristol
And finally, If you can’t come to the demonstration tomorrow, please send an
email to Eliot Lyne, the Interim Chief Executive of RNIB, to tell him how you
feel about them going back on their promises. His email address is:
eliot.lyne@xxxxxxxxxxx
Best wishes,
Paul
