Mandy,

It may be that your machine is set for a resolution higher than JAWS is 
really comfortable at reading.  Take a look and, if not 800 X 600 you may 
want to decrease the resolution.  (Many times JAWS will work well on less 
but not with all computers, particularly laptops I think.)

In addition, sometimes it helps to unload and reload JAWS if you're not 
getting what you should be.  I sure can appreciate your frustrations!
