Hi Tris

I agree, I had somebody try and add me as a friend to something called
yearbook. Haven't a clue what it is and I don't know the person anyway. I
deleted it but I'll try and find out what yearbook is out of curiosity, but
you get fake emails from all sorts of places. I wouldn't say to anyone to
be put off by junk coming from facebook you don't want. So far, touching
wood, well I have to as the keyboard rests on a pull out on the desk I use,
I haven't had any garbage yet from the site. There are blind people on
there and groups dedicated to blindness related stuff, for example, RNIB's
right to read has a presence there. I keep up with stuff going on in my
community as I belong to three groups relating to Handbridge in Chester
where I live. It's great. My pub has a group on there too.

Justine, come and join facebook and I'll be glad to add you. I've even
managed to add a photo to my profile on there for what it's worth.

"Don't go near it, because I know friends of mine, who have had emails
sent to there inbox , saying that they are trying to contact them.
I remember I had an email from one of my friends, at 5AM in the morning,
and when I asked her about it, she said it was not her who sent it."

Facebook does send you mail when someone writes on your "wall" or sends
you a message something to your profile, this isn't necessarily anything
to worry about. However just in case you have something that is a fake
never follow any links from that message, log in directly to your
profile to see what it is rather than following a link which perhaps may
be bogus. Imfortunately this can happen but not necessarily if you are
a Facebook user.
