It's like everything else Alex, we're always going to be playing catch up. TAke windows for example. It has taken a good while before we as blind and partially sighted were able to use Windows.

I managed to contact facebook and got them to create an account which I then
changed the password for.

Captcher is a problem for me too on both googlegroups and yahoogroups as I
wanted to set up a new list, but I'll have to wait until my sister comes
along to help me. I don't see why I should have to install a new browser
unless I really am forced to. How long would it be before Firefox won't
work with captcher or some other such inaccessible method for creating
accounts. I see it as an ever growing problem on the internet.

It's so not funny! I was just trying to sign up with a Facebook account and
couldn't do it because of the stupid kapcha where you have to fill in the
text. yes, they have a so-called audio kapcha on the site but it's totally inaudible and there's no way I could get it right (I tried about 10 times!)
Has anyone else successfully managed to set up an account?
