Thank you all for all the suggestions. I’ve just tried Libre Office Writer, I believe it’s the actively developed version of Open Office, and I didn’t find it accessible at all with JAWS18. Now the surprise is that Libre Office worked perfectly alright with NVDA when I’ve just tried it.

Could someone confirm that Livre Office is or isn’t accessible with JAWS? And if it’s indeed not as I find it, then what the heck is FS doing?

Hi,

I'd agree with Martin, Jarte is really a notepad rather than a Word
Processor, that just happens to read .docx files.  However, it's good enough
if your needs are basic.  Open Office is better if you want the full suite,
and I believe it is now accessible.

All the best

Steve

I agree, John, that Jart is better but not sure it's that good, but OK for
some straightforward stuff.

Hi all, Windows 10 with JAWS 18. Any accessible Microsoft Word
alternatives out there please? Must have a good spell checker and able to
work with all MS Word formats including $docx. Many thanks.
