I have a bit of a confusion though around the difference between Libra
office and open office, which one is being actively worked on at the moment?
I know they were forks of each other, or one forked off the other, or
something *smile* does anyone know which one is under active development?

Hi,
I'd agree with Martin, Jarte is really a notepad rather than a Word
Processor, that just happens to read .docx files. However, it's good enough
if your needs are basic. Open Office is better if you want the full suite,
and I believe it is now accessible.
