Okay George, point taken. My friend has installed Avast now and is very happy
with it, so thanks to I think Jim it was who recommended it.

    Hi Barbara,

Please don't knock ALL free anti-virus companies.

Most provide a commercial option, but at a cost. That's where they get
their income from.

In most cases, private users get the same protection.

    George.

Personally I agree with you Steve, but this is for someone else who doesn't
thin like us. I never trust free anti-virus programs as I always think, if they
were that good, why give them away? But like I say, others think differently.

      Hi Barbara,

Why free? Eset is the most accessible I know. Why don't people like
paying for things that work? <Smile>.

      All the best

      Steve

      Subject: [access-uk] Free Anti-Virus

Can anyone recommend a good free anti-virus program which could be easily
managed by a JAWS user with not extensive technical skills? The person wants
something free and which does not require exttensive PC knowledge to manage.
Preferably not AVG.

      Thanks for any suggestions made.
