You have to pay for it, but I find nod32 extremely good and it can update half 
a dozen times a day if it needs to.

      It's likely that you don't have AVG setup to regularly update itself. 
Most anti virus packages will download libraries of information about current 
virus threats, which enable them to stay one jump ahead of most nasties.

      I don't use AVG, so can't offer any definite advice, but check through 
the settings to make sure that it's setup to download virus libraries at least 
once a week, more often if you're on a broadband connection.

      Internet Explorer and e-Bay both have their insecurities, but neither of 
them should be the reason AVG ran out of date. If you've reinstalled AVG ok, it 
doesn't seem that your licence is out of date, which is why I think the above 
is worth checking.

  Hi all. i have found out why my virus shield ran out of date.  i think it 
could be due to my unstable network at college. or . my parent's have been 
using internet explorer  by visiting ebay. does any know if  ebay and internet 
expolorer  cause viruses. well  what addvice do you give? everything is fine. 
now i have reinstalled   avg again and it's ok now.
