Hi Hannah,
As I say it's using Internet Explorer in general that puts you at increased 
risk of viruses and other forms of malware. So sticking to Firefox at all 
times, where possible of course, will drastically reduce the risk. Hope that

  Hi all. i have found out why my virus shield ran out of date.  i think it 
could be due to my unstable network at college. or . my parent's have been 
using internet explorer  by visiting ebay. does any know if  ebay and internet 
expolorer  cause viruses. well  what addvice do you give? everything is fine. 
now i have reinstalled   avg again and it's ok now.
