Hi Everyone,
This morning, we posted a public demo of DictationBridge to our web site. This
is only a demo and is using prototype code so we ask that you not report any
bugs as a lot of the code in this demo will be ripped out and replaced with new
code in the final version. Thus, bugs in it now are not likely going to also be
in the final release and, conversely, we’ll probably insert a few new bugs that
we’ll fix during the beta process.
This demo works only with NVDA. It echoes back text from Windows Speech
Recognition and provides preliminary support for its UI. This demo will also
back the recognized text from Dragon products but only when you are in an edit
or rich edit control so it’s not working in MS Word or on the web yet. Lastly,
the Dragon interface has not been scripted so it will not be speaking properly
with NVDA until we get further down the development path.
