If you haven't already read it, "The Worst Journey in the World" by
Apsley Cherry-Garrard is another must read. Apart from giving a
different insight into Scott's failure, it tells an amazing tale of
winter travel in Antarctica - to collect eggs from Emperor Penguins. I
think I saw it too on audible.co.uk.
Sorry about this off topic stuff, folks, but this is the glory of email
