In the start menu, press right arrow two or three times, then either arrow to shut down or restart, or press u or r. Hope this helps.

Subject: [access-uk] Finding restart / shut down in in Vista

Hi,

I'm slowly getting my way around my Acer laptop with Windows Vista home
premium. One thing that's catching me out at the minute is how I perform a restart / shut down using keyboard shortcuts. In XP I was used to going to
the start menu and pressing "u" to bring up the dialogue box which let me
choose from shut down, restart etc, I've tried but I can't find anywhere on
my Vista start menu to find a similar option. I can find "sleep" but I
think this is different? My wife who is a sighted user says there's an
arrow icon she can use but I can't seem to find this with Jaws.

Anyone out there tell me what the keystroke is for this please?

many thanks,

Phil
