Hello Everyone.

I'm conducting a little survey of my own and would like some help. Every year, i check out different anti virus and internet security products based on online reviews, to see which are the most accessible so i can recommend them to clients. I don't want feedback on free offerings, as we all know about security essentials, Avast, AVG, Avira and Esset. I have been in touch with the major anti virus companies: F Secure, GData, Panda, Bit Defender, Avast, Kaspersky, Bullguard, AVG, the others were not easy to contact. Symantec i skipped completely, on account of the fact that they are the most complained about company by my customers, as well as the fact that every time i have used their products, they have let me down in 1 way or another. My PC was also hacked and they literally gave me a year of hell, so i will never use them again.

My question is this: Which anti virus product or internet security suite do people use? and which company do you find have been responsive to the needs of the blind? the only 2 companies that got back to me from the list above were Bullguard and GData. Bullguard did promis to liaise with me, but did not get back to me after their initial email. however, i am very pleased with GData. not only did they reply, but they took in to account all my feedback and immediately pushed out updates to all their products to make them fully accessible to the blind. they have just released GData 2014, and i have to admire them, they've really made an effort to maintain accessibility. Have people had any experience with Essett? i had heard that at 1 time they were taking visually impaired users in to account by offering a less graphical product, is that still the case and are they still decent at getting rid of viruses? They were 1 of the companies i did not have chance to contact at the time, as i got side tracked with other projects. Any feedback greatly appreciated.

I do not want to start a discussion on which is the best anti virus/security product, as that is a matter of opinion and what you've paid for.

all the best,

Mo.
