Hello John

I have now installed itunes but it won't allow access unless I confirm via the phone. As nothing seems to be accessible on the phone, I am no further forward. I think it is very probable that I am stuck at the lock screen. I have scanned what little paperwork included with the phone but Openbook is reporting most of the pages as blank. It may be there is a code on one of these small sheets, however, as I don't yet know the layout of the screen, it would be impossible for me to input a code.

As you said, I am intending to use the finger print once I can get it set up.

I think I shall now just have to wait for some sighted assistance. Thanks for your help.

Mike.

Mike,

I would try to get ITunes installed and "configure accessibility". Once you
have speech enabled with voice over on the phone then you will be able to
find where to put your password into the phone, or, if you do not have a
password enabled then to press the unlock button.
.

My other suggestion for after you have voice over enabled is to activate the
finger print method of unlocking the phone.

This facility was my main reason for upgrading an older iPhone to the IPhone
6 model.

It does mean that when I am in public I can unlock my phone without telling
all and sundry around me what my password is.

I freely admit that before this facility became available I did not use a
password at all for that very reason.

I would also recommend using the back-up facilities within Ituens to keep a
safe back-up of your phone. If ever you need to replace your phone with a
new iphone then it is so much easier to get your new phone going from such a
back-up.

Regards, John

Hello John

Thank you for this.  I don't have Itunes but will try to download
it.  I have only had a few minutes tuition on the phone and I am
beginning to wonder if I am stuck on the lock screen.  I've tried
everything I can think of but nothing seems to be working.

Mike.
