With a slight modification of original subject line for those who
haven't heard of Les Barker, thought it worth posting this on here.
Les Barker was, is, the inspiration behind Clive.Lever's BCAB fund
raising project.

Hi all,
I don't usually make a habit of cross posting to loads of lists, but I
think this is a special occasion for a special person to whom some of
us owe a great debt of gratitude.
tomorrow is Les Barker's birthday, so now would be a great time to
send in a request for one of his tracks from the Guide Cats for the
Blind albums, maybe the title track, on your favourite BBC Local Radio
station and on Sarah Kennedy's radio 2 show. This seems a particularly
good idea as he's not been well of late, having had a minor heart
attack earlier in the month, from which, thankfully, he now seems to
be recovering weel.
