Ok how about the lock  code  system.
The one you press  number buttons like  a pin.
As long as the buttons are not small  and they can easily be felt,
Should  work for  most people.

I wasn't so much thinking along the lines of a card key, but that isn't too 
much of a bad idea either, anything to replace the hugely inconvenient 
carrying around of those damn keys. Yes, I know that for people with 
dexterity issues they are useful, but RADAR didn't need to use a one size 
fits all model when producing them. Goodness! think of the costs alone!
