Ah, did it also work once you had done a search? Didn't for me and took me back to the original tv guide I think. Just to clarify: I, 1. logged into my sky 2. went to the link http://mysky.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/tvguide/tvlistingsalternate 3. chose a channel like lifestyle and culture. 4. chose a day 5. p[pressed view your chosen day 5. selected the channel I wanted. 7. selected the programme I wanted, 8. selected remote record.9. got the confirmation and hit the back button on the site to get back to the main channel. This is a graphic link with some alt text so the letter gshould work in latest jaws versions to get to this. -----Original Message-----From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf OfPeter Sent: 23 November 2008 17:15 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: FW: Sky work around for broken accessible remote record. Still did exactly the same thing for me and took me back to the normal tv guide. I'll try emptying all my history, temp files etc first see if that helps. HI all. I just got a call from sky today, and they have detailed an accessible work around for the broken remote record feature accessed by the screen reader version of the sky.com site. Note: You must be logged into my sky before you activate this link. So log in at www.sky.com, by choosing my sky and typing in username and password. Once this is done, from your account page, go to: http://mysky.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/tvguide/tvlistingsalternate There you can select channel genre, day etc and select your channel as normal when using accessible features. Once you get to the prog you want, hit the remote record link under programme options. You will get a confirmation message saying a remote record request will be sent within the next thirty minutes. From this, hit the back button just below the message, or reactivate the link above to make a new search. I can confirm this works. I'd recommend bookmarking this link so you can find it again. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq__________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signaturedatabase 3632 (20081121) __________ The message was checked by ESET Smart Security. http://www.eset.com ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
