The iPhone Ariadne GPS ap is great at telling you speed and direction at
125MPH, together with lots of other info such as the areas you're passing!
Think it was about 4 quid.

Don't forget that cars with satnav can be doing 70+ on a motorway.
There would be a slight lag the faster you go, but modern GPS has improved
considerably.

Hi,
I think that's right. Some of the new trains have tinted windows and I
don't think the Trekker can pick up the satellite signal very well.
Mind you, having said that, I haven't actually tried it and there are some
people who say it can work but I would have thought the sheer speed of the
train would have prevented anyone getting any useful information. Don't
take my word for it, though; ask around before you shell out for one.

Cheers,
Sandra.
